Tony Bell

Guitar/Vocals/Keys/Saxophone

Tony spent his childhood in Davenport, IA and after moving around a bit with his family, planted his roots in Wisconsin. He spent most of his childhood enjoying a life filled with music and it just never stopped.

In high school, Tony, through the encouragement of his teachers, decided to take music a little more seriously. With numerous music awards and countless hours at his home practicing, Tony was able to acquire the skills needed to place him into one of the top music conservatories in all of the United States, Lawrence University.

In his time at Lawrence, Tony studied with world renowned classical saxophonists, Steven Jordheim from Appleton and Marco Albonetti from Fienza, Italy. In this time, Tony polished his classical saxophone chops, dabbled in the world of jazz and began his quest to learn as many other instruments as he could put his hands on.

Towards the end of his tenure at Lawrence, he met, through pure coincidence, the guys from Boogie. Tony met Boogie with enthusiasm and a renewed energy and after some initial trials and tribulations, found his place as a permanent fixture on their stage. By his own drive and a little encouragement from his band mates, Tony, the instrumental “kitchen sink” of Boogie, has cemented his position as the saxophone/rhythm guitar/back up keyboard player. He continues to strive towards being a better player in all of his facets with Boogie and has always said, “You never know what I’ll try to play next.”

With more than 11 years with Boogie, it has become a very large part of his life. If not for Boogie and the Yoyo'z, Tony would have never met his wife, Stephanie. Tony is currently in school, pursuing a second degree in electrical engineering and spends his days working at Plexus Corp. in Neenah. The rest of his time is spent at his home in Menasha where he enjoys the remaining time off with his wife and 3 dogs.
