Trumpet/Percussion/Vocals
Job was born and raised in the good ol' state of Iowa. Born in Iowa City at St. Mary's Hospital, he was raised in a little town called Lone Tree. After second grade his parents decided it was a good idea to move to Northern Wisconsin (more specifically the city of Rhinelander). After causing so much trouble in third grade at St. Mary's Catholic School he went on to attended Newbold Elementry, where he first learned to sing and play recorder. He then went on to James Williams Junior High School where he picked up the trumpet for the first time in sixth grade. In seventh he attended his first WSMA state solo and ensemble festival where he received a one ranking on both a class C trumpet solo and a class C trumpet trio. In eighth grade he played in his first jazz ensemble.
Throughout junior high he played numerous sports including Soccer, Football, Tennis, Basketball, and most importantly Wrestling. He then moved on to Rhinelander High School where he continued his education, both in school and music. He became trumpet section leader his junior year of high school beating out all the competitors. He always was in the school's jazz ensembles. He continued to also do sports throughout high school. He played many positions on the high school football team and focused mainly on wrestling. Even though he was so involved with sports he also took the time to march in the half time show with his football pads underneath his band uniform. During his senior year of high school he decided to continue his education at UW-Stevens Point in the field of music. While at school at UWSP Job joined a volunteer fire department in the summer of 2009 and fights fires on a regular basis.
Today Job is going on his 5th year as a Jazz Studies major with an emphasis on performance. He has been apart of many ensembles at UWSP, including concert band, wind ensemble, orchestra, chamber jazz, jazz lab, jazz ensemble, and the pit orchestra. You can also see him perform with lots of other bands, like The Swing Doctors. He has created a few groups of his own. He has a jazz trio called The Three Jolly Coachmen and is doing a professional recording with the group in May of 2010. He has played with numerous groups in the central wisconsin area. Also, he plays weddings. By that I mean, he plays actual weddings, not the after party. He plays piccolo trumpet so you can walk down the isle to some awesome classical music.
Job's hobbies include: video games, movies, he likes to write music, sipping on courvasier, spending time with friends playing trumpet and guitar, playing awesome music, and giving all he has to music. If Job is not doing all of this he is probably sleeping or kickin' Tony's butt at wrestling. See you at the next show!!
